ON DEMAND WEBINAR: Lithium Ion Battery Safety
Andrew O’Connell AFSM, Commander – Community Education at Fire Rescue Victoria, delves into the critical aspects of Lithium Ion battery safety, such as understanding potential hazards and how to keep yourself and your clients safe.
We were fortunate to be joined by Andrew O'Connell AFSM, Commander - Community Education at Fire Rescue Victoria for a session about the dangers and precautions needed when dealing with Lithium Ion batteries. These batteries are everywhere now, from cars to e-scooters and -bikes, to wheelchairs, laptops and golf carts. If you follow the news you'd be aware of some very nasty incidents recently which might have been avoided by better storage and charging practices.
Andrew brings lots of first-hand experience and some very relevant fire incident videos to show just how dangerous these batteries can be, and talks through how we can keep everyone safer by noticing them in tenancies, educating renters about proper storage and use, and ensuring rental providers are aware and appropriately insured.
